 Scott Grimard, owner and operator of Coastal Plant Brokers, started his career as a teenager in high school working at a tree nursery after school and during summer break. Scott's interest in landscaping and growing plants sparked at the tree nursery that summer. After high school Scott attended the University of Maine and studied Landscape Horticulture. Scott's experience and knowledge of growing and design secured him a position at a nursery growing perennials expanding his knowledge and expertise in the plant industry.

Growing up on the coast of Maine, Scott's love for salt water fishing keeps him near the coast. When it came time for a change and a move from Maine, Scott moved to the coast of Florida in New Smyrna Beach.

Always working for someone else, Scott dreamed of having his own nursery business. In 2011 the opportunity arose where Scott could fulfill his dream so he decided to form Coastal Plant Brokers and start his own nursery.

Scott commutes to Sanford every day to his 134,000 sq. ft. wholesale nursery where he designs dish gardens, grows tropical foliage, hanging baskets and interiorscapes. Scott grows most of his own plants for his designs.

Scott's nursery is minutes from the nursery capital of the world, Apopka, FL.  The ability to use different varieties of plants in his designs makes his product more unique. No order is too large or too small.
